Our coaches work with a variety of beginner to intermediate riders of all genders. Our clinics are targeted towards beginner and intermediate riders and each clinic has a specific focus – from general skills, cornering, to suspension set up.
Our holistic coaching approach emphasizes mindset. We believe that our mindset is often the barrier to learning new skills. We work to unroot fixed mindset patterns as they appear in the trail – No Apologies! We call upon tools of mindfulness and positive psychology to change how we approach mountain biking (and eventually our lives). On a technical level, our programs include handling skills, including body positioning and balance, braking, shifting and pedaling efficiency, climbing and descending, front and back wheel lifts, cornering, small drops, pumping and navigating trail obstacles. We’ll enjoy sessioning various sections of trail to reinforce these skills through progressive practical exercises.
We always keep our participant to coach ratio low so that you’ll get the best of both worlds- comradery and personalized feedback. This allows us to tailor the experience to the group.
For these clinics, you’ll need trail bike in good working order, helmet, backpack with water-lunch-snacks, appropriate clothing and layers for the weather, gloves, sunscreen, and optional eyewear (sunglasses or safety glasses/goggles). FLAT PEDALS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL SKILLS LEVELS – REQUIRED FOR BEGINNERS.
