Earlier this month I went up to Stevens Pass, Washington for the 5th round of the NW Cup downhill series. I was a bit nervous driving up to Stevens, I knew the course would be hard; the competition would be fierce since the majority of my competition lives in Washington and I knew it would be an absolute scorcher on the mountain.
It was 88 degrees on Friday when Rye and I showed up about 11am. We registered and bought our lift tickets, hurried to get our riding gear on and sailed up the mountain on one of the fastest lifts I have ever been on.
